At the end of March, the Cleveland Clinic launched the COVID-19 Community Response Campaign after community members asked what they could do to help those on the front line. Companies have donated, including a donation of 50,000 gloves and 10,000 N95 masks from Sherwin-Williams.
Sherwin-Williams has long supported University Hospitals (UH) and the community. This week, 10,000 new and unused N95 masks from Sherwin-Williams will provide critical PPE for UH’s front line caregivers. “Our thanks for their support during this global health crisis.“
Sherwin-Williams donated 3,000 N95 masks to Cleveland EMS workers. “This essential equipment comes at a time when there is a nationwide shortage of personal protective equipment for healthcare providers and first responders,” said Mayor Frank Jackson.
The Greater Cleveland COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund is designed to complement the work of public health officials and expand local capacity to address all aspects of the outbreak as efficiently as possible. The Rapid Response Fund will provide grant awards on a rolling basis to nonprofit organizations in Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties.
